Wash and blow dry

Bath using professional shampoo and products which are suitable for your dog’s coat. Blow dry in conjunction with a brush, comb or rubber brush (depending on coat type and length) to dry coat thoroughly and remove dead coat. Limited matt* removal for dogs comfort. Ears* cleaned using soothing ear fluid. Eyes wiped.  Spray of doggy cologne.

Full Groom

Wash using shampoo and other products i.e. conditioners where required which are suitable for your dog’s coat condition. Blow dry using high power dryer along with brush and comb to remove dead coat, tangles and small matts* and dry coat thoroughly. Groom to customer specification (whether breed standard or Pet trim to your specification) using scissors and /or clippers where required. Clean ears* using soothing ear fluid.  Eyes wiped. Nails* checked and clipped if required. Spray of doggy cologne.

Puppy Intro to grooming

The Grooming salon can be a scary place to a young pup. The introduction to grooming 2 stage approach will give your dog confidence so that they enjoy the visit to the groomer rather than fear it. Your puppy will be given lots of praise and positive reinforcement so that it knows it is nice to come to the groomers. He or she will be bathed using a specially formulated Puppy friendly shampoo so that it is gentle on their young skin. The dryer can be noisy so I will endeavour to start the drying process at low speed which is much quieter and gentler and then gradually increase the speed so that it is not a sudden shock to the little fellow. I will then get them used to seeing the combs and brushes and the feel of them being used gently on their fur. This is not a full groom service.

1^st Appointment - Wash using shampoo which is Puppy friendly and specially formulated to be gentle on their skin. Gentle Blow dry using brush and comb to remove dead coat, tangles and small matts* and  to dry the coat thoroughly. Nails* clipped if required.  Spray of doggy cologne to smell like the big boys and girls.

2^nd Appointment - Everything that is in the 1st appointment and then an Introduction to clippers and scissors to neaten any over long fur areas e.g. Pads and feet and long fur over eyes and hygiene areas. Nails* clipped if required. Spray of doggy cologne to smell like the big boys and girls.

I can commence the puppy introduction service once the pup has had all of its inoculations from the Vets, and is parasite free.

Face clear

Is your dog having trouble seeing through the fur around its eyes? I can trim the fur in front of its eyes and trim fringes or eyebrows so it can see clearly. I will also wipe around the eyes to remove any crusty deposits in the corners.

Feet tidy

Are your dogs feet looking little untidy and in need attention? This service is to clear the dogs pads of excess fur, which can become matted and uncomfortable between its pads.  I will then tidy the top of the feet and remove any matts between the toes.

Ear clean*

Does your dog have visible dirt in its ears*? Using a soothing ear cleaning fluid and cotton wool pads I can remove visible dirt from the upper part of the ears (without entering the ear canal). I will also trim/clip excess fur and matts* from around the ears if you request it to make them look tidy.

Nail clip*

Are your dogs nails getting long? I can clip your dogs nails* (as short as possible) with nail clippers. If your dog is not happy to have its nails clipped, or is nervous and flinching when having its feet handled, it may be more receptive to having them ground with a nail grinder. This takes a little longer, but that's fine if your dog is happier with it.
